Absolutely no fading in the dark navy blue. At first I thought they had sent me the wrong balloon - a black balloon. But fully inflated, it was exactly as I had expected. The balloon was solid. I never worried about it accidentally popping. As this was a special request from my daughter, getting a 5 star item was critical to me
